De wijn van Blackhawk zijn al velen jaren geliefde bij de klaneten van dee Wijnbeurs. Met de kenmerkende gouden adelaar op de fles is het ieder jaar weer genieten. De reacties van onze Blackhawk-liefhebbers als de nieuwe oogst binnen is spreekt boekdelen! Blackhawk is een wijnhuis uit Californië, uit de streek Lodi Central Valley. Deze streek kenmerkt zich doordat het één van de meest productieve landbouwgebieden ter wereld is.
Californië is het kloppende wijnhart van de Verenigde Staten. Maar liefst 90% van alle wijnen komt uit deze streek, waarmee het meteen één van de meest productieve landbouwgebieden ter wereld is. Central Valley is de grootste van de zes wijnregio’s in Californië. Door het mediterrane klimaat in de vallei konden de Merlot druiven optimaal rijpen. Dit komt doordat de warme zomers afgewisseld worden met milde winters. Een ideale omgeving om prachtige wijnen te maken.
